Code of Conduct

Honor, respect, brotherhood are expected from all participants, coaches, instructors, tournament officials/staff and spectators. Inappropriate behavior and language may result immediate sanction and or disqualification of match, tournament and or expulsion from event premises. You will be held responsible from your actions, representing your instructor, teammates, school and Organization.

Video Recording

There will be an Official Video Crew to capture the actions throughout the event. The Public including participants are not allowed to video record any of the tournament matches and events within the event premises unless allowed by the Organizers. Violators will be escorted out of the tournament area and penalty may be imposed on the associated participant or team.

Photography

The public including the participants, coaches and instructors are allowed to photograph (still pictures only) any matches and events.

Fees/Obligations

No Refunds, Non-transferable and No Alternate Participants

There will be No refunds issued for any payments received. No exceptions. Completed and paid registration will not be transferable.

Workshop/Seminars

Registration Fee : International     -     US$ 100/day
Kali Sports Local :                            -     P500.00/day

World Cup Registration/Tournament Fee

International                                      -      US$ 60 all event
Kali Sports Local                              -      P350.00/head

Entry

Limited number of entries as per designed/advised of the Organizers in every Tournament/Divisions(s). (See Tournament Format)

Official participants cannot have an alternate or fill-in if they are no show or late reporting to their division(s). Name will be called and announce three times (3X) during division call.

                 Two (2) Maximum entries per team in Sparring Competition
                 Two (2) entries per team in Individual Anyo Competition
                 One (1) Entry per team in Synchronized/Group Anyo Competition.

Kali Sports Local Athletes can wish to play on the higher division rather than his/her regular weight category....were he/she chooses.

    • Check-in/Weigh-in

Participants  MUST report and be physically present during roll call of divisions. Weight  MUST not exceed to the desired limit for local/national and in international competition - players are allowed   or may go after for the next higher weight category as approved by the committee.

    • Kali Sports Weapon

Sponsored/Endorsed only by the Organizer (Kali Sports Padded Stick) shall be used in any tournament sanctioned by the Council/Alliance Tournaments. Official Kali Sports weapon will be supplied. 

    • Scoring

All matches will have; 3 court judges and 1 center referee (elimination ), 5 judges and a center referee in the finals (championship ) Optional Majority decision to get a point and a 10 point deficit means win by superiority. Points are registered upon confirming of at least two or majority of the judges; for the strikes that have a clean/clear technique, power and accuracy. There will be  three(3) one minute rounds (championships). Most accumulated points will determine the winner after the eliminations and championships. Center referee will be the only person in the ring that can give penalty, add points/nullify, and stop the fight in any instances.

  • Ways to Win
  • through points, fouls, disqualification and dis-arming.

  • Draw Match
  • 1. Score    -    whoever had lesser fouls committed, wins
    2. Penalties/Fouls/Score    -    sudden death/first blood ( one minute extension to get the first blood/point) however if no point gain will be declared by the game officials after consultation.

    Legal Points

  • 1. Strikes to front, side, or top of the headgear
  • 2. Strikes to weapon arm or hand
  • 3. Strikes to empty hand or arm
  • 4. Strikes to the body and shoulders
  • 5. Strikes to thighs, knees and shins
  • 6. Thrusts to body and thighs

  • Penalties and Disqualification

    No verbal warning will be given upon disqualification. Tournament Rules must be reviewed  and understood by all competitors before the competition day. There will be a competitors/tournament staff meeting to review the rules before the start of the competition.

    Penalties may include but not limited to the following :

  • 1. Striking illegal target
  • 2. Stepping In/out of line of the playing area
  • 3. Disregarding referees commands and instructions
  • 4. Disregarding safety
  • 5. Blatant, malicious and dangerous actions

  • Fouls and Prohibited Moves

  • 1. Boxing, punching, kicking or kneeing
    2. Grappling or wrestling
    3. Holding of stick or any part of the opponents body
    4. Thrusting/Striking/slashing to the neck areas
    5. Groin strikes
    6. Head butting
    7. Throwing, takedowns or foot sweeps
    8. Strikes to the Back (head, body, neck)
    9. Foul or inappropriate language
    10 Pushing in any manner
     
     
    Five (5) Fouls applied to the whole match

  • 1. 1st foul
  • 2. 2nd foul
  • 3. 3rd foul
  • 4. 4th foul
  • 5. 5th foul - PLUS POINT TO OPPONENT AND THE SUCCEEDING FOULS
  • Three (3) Dis-arms applied to whole match

  • 1. 1st dis-arm - plus point to the opponent
  • 2. 2nd dis-arm - plus point to the opponent
  • 3. 3rd dis-arm - opponent wins
  • Dis-arming is heavy than the Fouls   1 Dis-arm = 2 Fouls  

    • Fight Time

    Each round will run for 1 minute. No Time Outs will be called by the competitor or coach. There will be 10 seconds between each round ( time for the coach to give instructions ). Time will continue unless center referee call stops time for the following reason/s.

    • 1. Injury of player in the match
    • 2. Issuance of Foul/Penalties
    • 3. Replacement of Broken Weapon
    • 4. End of the round/match
    • 5. Declaration of the winner/match

    • Sparring Safety Gears. Kali Sports safety gears shall be used.

      1. Gloves
      2. Helmet
      3. Body protector
      4. Groin guard
      5. Arm/shin guard

    Optional Safety Gears (unless approved by the Organizers)

  • 1. Body Armor
  • 2. Elbow pads
  • 3. Mouthpiece

  • Competitor Dress Code

    All competitors must complete with proper uniforms representing your school and organization. Uniforms must have logo or symbol of your system/school/organization/system. This tournament is professionally produced and presented to entire world.
